You can imagine that even today, 10 years after joining the European Union, there are some sceptical voices raising questions about Slovakia’s membership.
They were here also ten years ago, when Slovakia was joining the EU, however, this political decision legitimated itself by the advantages European Union brought to daily life in Slovakia, especially with European funds providing money for various regional development projects.
However, one sceptical question that remains is concerned with the volume of Slovakia’s voice and what it has to say in the big forums of Europe. Is Slovakia getting overwhelmed, not only politically, but also on the level of one’s own, genuine national identity?
