In 2006, a group of parents coming from Slovakia though living in London, together with enthusiastic teacher Lola Kaššovic, decided to form a school, where their children could learn how to write, read and speak Slovak.
There are now around 48 children attending the Slovak weekend school and nursery in Soho, London, and Zuzana Botikova visited their Saturday lecture. This is a report from the island of Slovak language and culture in the sea of London’s multicultural environment.
