With the US state of Colorado and Washington DC legalising marijuana at the beginning of 2014, and with nine European countries having decriminalised possession of the drug, it appears society’s mood towards cannabis may be changing.
But is this the case in Slovakia? Gavin Shoebridge speaks to the Ministry of Health spokesperson Mgr. Martina Lidinská, Martin Poliačik from the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) political party, Dr Ľubomír Okruhlica from the Centre for Drug Rehabilitation, as well as an anonymous interview with a regular marijuana smoker.
