Three Japanese university maths students have just finished a 3-month stay here in Bratislava as part of a new exchange programme sponsored by the Japanese government. I met with them at Comenius University's Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics, to hear about their experience here and their impressions of Slovakia - which ranged from surprise at the hot mulled wine at the Christmas market, to the atmosphere at Spiš castle being compared to a Japanese anime film.
