Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lent period. But before the Christian ritual of fasting begins, people celebrate "Fat Tuesday", „Shrove Tuesday“ or „Mardi Gras“. In Slovakia this festival is called “Fašiangy” and Zuzana Botiková went to the Slovak Village Open Air Museum in Martin to record some traditional Fašiangy atmosphere.
