In history textbooks he's known as the father; founder of the Republic, and for those closest to him, the father of the family. Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, a Czech politician, statesman, sociologist and philosopher, and the first Czechoslovak president, tried to set an example of how to live and work, not only for politicians of his time, but also for his own children and grandchildren, with memories of him remaining in the Masaryk family to this day. Zuzana Botiková spoke about those memories with Mrs. Charlotte Kotik, independent art curator, as well as the great-granddaughter of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.
