Spraying girls with water and spanking them with willow whips is the tradition synonymous to Easter in Slovakia. Peculiar traditions, indeed, so it's no wonder that because of this peculiarity they have also stirred international curiosity, with articles about them appearing in global media outlets such as the Guardian or the Globe and Mail. Zuzana Botiková managed to track down the authors of these articles, who have their own, very personal experiences of Easter.
