Episode 18: Make Plans in Slovak

Note 1: In Slovak, when talking about meeting on specific days, we use the preposition “v” (literally “in,” but equivalent to “on” in English) with the locative case. This means the noun for the day often changes form: masculine nouns ending in -ok (pondelok, utorok, štvrtok, piatok) stay the same, while feminine nouns ending in -a (streda, sobota, nedeľa) change the final -a to -u (v stredu, v sobotu, v nedeľu).
Note 2: For Thursday (štvrtok), the preposition “v” changes to “vo” to make pronunciation easier: vo štvrtok.
