First up in this episode, we meet brothers Niall and Gavin and their father Kevin Kenney, who arrived in Bratislava after having cycled more than 2,100 kilometers from Swords in County Dublin, Ireland. The purpose of their journey was to raise awareness about Down syndrome and fundraise for independent centers in Ireland and Slovakia that work to help families with children who have Down syndrome. Ben Pascoe met them as they arrived and found out more about their journey.
For the second part of the show, we dive into how the 50th edition of Kultúrne leto, or cultural summer, in Bratislava is coming to an end. However, during the month of August there is still a rich program to be enjoyed. Ben Pascoe sat down with Katarína Hulíková, director of BKIS, the Bratislava culture and info centre, to find out what we can still look forward to.
