The Slovak pavilion at World EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, is currently highlighting the theme “Health and Innovation,” bringing together leading Slovak scientists and representatives of high-tech companies. The national tourism agency Slovakia Travel announced the update on Thursday.
In cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), the pavilion has featured titanium medical implants produced in Slovakia. Expert lectures were delivered by faculty leadership, led by Dean Jozef Živčák, to an audience of Japanese doctors, health specialists, and entrepreneurs.
During the rest of the EXPO 2025 visit, Japanese experts and doctors initiated consultations with the Slovak delegation from the university. These were held in unique spaces of the Health Care thematic pavilion, which provided opportunities for applied demonstrations and dialogue.
Slovakia’s participation in EXPO 2025 underscores its ambition to position itself as a serious player in the global innovation and biomedical technology landscape.
