Friends of Slovakia is a Washington DC-based organization that has been promoting friendship between the USA and Slovakia since 2001. In honour of 2025 being the year of foreign Slovaks, Ben Pascoe sat down with Slovak-Americans Thomas Skladony, Katarina Skladony and Jan Surotchak. Thomas and Jan are both on the board of Friends of Slovakia. They discuss what it means to be Slovak-American and how they see the state of Slovakia today.
