Introducing Kasigarda - Museum of Emigration from Slovakia to North America

Do you know what "kasigarda" means? "Slovak immigrants mispronounced 'Castle Garden,' the entry point for all immigrants arriving in America," explains Martin Javor, a historian and university professor, in an interview for Radio Slovakia International. He named his private Museum of Emigration from Slovakia to North America after this term. The Museum of Emigration from Slovakia to North America—Kasigarda—aims to preserve and highlight the contributions of Slovak communities in North America.
