The warm, sunny May weather makes staying inside unbearable. Fortunately, there are number of possibilities in Slovakia where people can spend quality time outside; either in the countryside, or at a historical site. Spiš castle combines both of these options. Spending a day at this magnificent castle ruin in eastern Slovakia provides an interesting historical setting as well as a beautiful natural panorama. Moreover, on May 8, they officially opened the summer season. Our colleague from the Slovak section of RSI, Elena Seeber was there and spoke to Dáša Pavúková-Uharčeková from the Spiš Museum.
