It’s often said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, however they’re also the best friends of many other industries from drilling to heat sinks, to speakers – yet most of the diamonds that have been discovered were have originated from deep-source volcanic eruptions. Recently Slovak scientists discovered tiny diamonds hidden inside rocks, formed by a different method in Norway. Gavin Shoebridge finds out more.
