Fleshy bodies of thousands of shapes and colors that in the realm of living organisms stand apart — neither an animal nor a plant. Mushrooms. We tend to link these organisms with humid forests, where they add up to the characteristic aroma. Many people love walking around an autumn forest and smelling that particular melange of mist, leaves, moss, and mushrooms. Nevertheless, recently mushrooms have spread their mycelia even beyond forest borders and started growing in urban interiors. Romana Grajcarová has visited one of these places, also known as urban mushroom farms, and spoke to its founder, Paulína Pôbišová.
