Trnava has joined the international Climaax project, aimed at strengthening the city’s resilience to climate change through advanced risk assessment and adaptation strategies. The project, worth over €175,000, will produce a detailed study using Climaax methodologies to guide local policies.
The initiative will focus on addressing key urban challenges such as heatwaves, droughts, and the urban heat island effect. Planned measures include green infrastructure, better water management, and improved emergency preparedness through risk management plans and early warning systems.
Completion is scheduled for the end of next year.
