What do Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Ukraine have in common? If you know your geography, you’ll know that those five countries surround Slovakia, and if you know your space history, you’ll know that they have all put satellites into earth’s orbit. Slovakia however, has not. This is set to change soon however with the production of the skCube; Slovakia’s first satellite.
Gavin Shoebridge spoke to Alexander Kutka from the Slovak Organisation for Space Activities (SOSA) to see the progress of the skCUBE and to learn how exactly it’ll make it to space.
