According to numerous researchers from varied fields, Slovakia suffers from a funding shortfall when it comes to science. Yet despite this, research in Slovakia in the field of medicine is on par with much wealthier institutions around the world when it comes to results.
This means only good things can come from a new science complex being built in Bratislava’s Comenius University, with most of the funding coming from the European Union. Gavin Shoebridge finds out what benefits this new park is expected to have in terms of scientific research.
