Electric cars take a long time to recharge compared to refilling a gas or diesel vehicle. This means that gas & diesel cars have a strong advantage when it comes to travelling long-distances in a short amount of time, until now that is, thanks to the efforts of one Slovak company and their unique electric fleet of vehicles which can be either recharged or simply have their batteries swapped out with freshly-charged ones.
This swapping technology means that these everyday work vehicles were able to smash the existing world record for the furthest distance travelled in 24 hours in an electric vehicle, as Gavin Shoebridge found out.
