The average nominal monthly wage in Slovakia in July of this year increased in all sectors compared with the same period last year. It increased by 7.2 percent in the selling and repairing of motor vehicles to €801, in industry by 6 percent to €900, in information and communication by 5.4 percent to €1,745 and in accommodation services by 3.3 percent to €588.
Also the average real monthly wage grew in most of the sectors in annual terms. It increased in the selling and repairing of motor vehicles by 5.6 percent, in industry by 4.4 percent, in information and communication by 3.8 percent and in accommodation by 1.8 percent. Real wages fell in only two sectors: in construction by 1.2 percent and in retail trade by 0.4 percent.
