The 8th edition of the International Film Festival Cinematik, which took place from September 6th to September 12th in Piešťany, already knows its awarded movies. The prize for the best European movie was awarded to the movie Jagten from the director Thomas Vinterberg.
The Slovak documentary about the controversial court trial concerning Ľudmila Cervanová has been awarded the prize for the best documentary movie. Robert Kirchhoff, its director, spent 8 years investigating the case of a young medical student who was murdered in the year 1976 and whose court trial is one of the most controversial and the longest lasting in Slovak judicial history.
