The Saturday demonstrations organized by the German anti-Islamic organisation Pegida in Dresden were supposed to have supportive rallies held in other 17 European countries. In Bratislava, the protests attracted only a few dozen participants, mainly from the small political party Courage - the big national and pro-Russian coalition. On the other hand, in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, around 5,000 people turned out for a Pegida-inspired march, and police had to intervene during their clashes with the opposition.
