Greater protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse has been inked into law. The conventionratified by the Slovak Parliament in September of last year has now been signed into law by President Andrej Kiska. The aim of the resolution is to prevent and fight against the exploitation and sexual abuse of children. The terms 'child' and 'child pornography' were redefined for the purpose of this convention as well, and the possession of child pornography and the participation in its creation was introduced as a new offence into the criminal code.
