The Holocaust Documentation Centre (DSH) launched an innovated website - www.holokaust.sk to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Wednesday. The website will publish original historical documents and photos regarding the Holocaust in wartime Slovakia (1939-45) in digital form. "We also offer current findings from the field of research, education and Holocaust remembrance in modern-day Slovakia. We want to provide the broader public and especially the younger generation with documents and further pictorial materials," said the centre's director Monika Vrzgulová. Wednesday's remembrance day marked the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau by Soviet troops on January 27, 1945.
