Tender opened up for digital traffic fine system

Slovakia's Interior Ministry has announced a tender for an electronic system that would automatically record traffic violations. This was announced Tuesday by the Public Procurement Office (UVO). Worth €140 million (without VAT), the contract calls for the design, implementation and administration of the system of monitoring traffic. "The system has to cover the whole process", according to UVO. That includes capturing traffic violations on video, through collection and assessment of all relevant evidence up to the levying of the fine.
