The Slovak Teachers Initiative, which has organized one of the biggest strikes of teachers in recent years, was joined by more than 11,000 teachers from over 700 schools by Monday morning, which is 12 percent of all teachers in Slovakia. Schools, where most teachers entered the strike, will be closed from Monday; others will operate in crisis mode.
