Education Minister Juraj Draxler met with representatives of the Slovak Teachers Initiative on Thursday. No agreement on the teachers' demands was adopted. Among other things, teachers demand ensuring appropriate funding for the education sector. If there is no improvement on this issue over the next weekend, hundreds of Slovak schools will be closed as of Monday, January 25. Learn more in the Topical issue after the news.
