Poland is seeking to learn more about measures that the Slovak Government has taken in the fight against tax evasion. Finance Ministry State Secretary Radko Kuruc held talks to this effect with his Polish opposite number Konrad Raczkowski in Bratislava on Thursday. Slovakia's action plan to combat tax evasion was approved in May 2012, containing 50 measures that were put into practice in piecemeal fashion up until 2015. Slovakia has yielded more than €2 billion for state coffers thanks to better VAT and corporate income tax collection. Poland is interested in implementing the same measures. The greatest deal of interest was shown in so-called VAT control reports and the ban on the use of cash transactions above certain limits.
