Slovak bishops will urge the faithful to exercise their right to vote and go to the polls on the day of the general election on March 5, head of the Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS) and Bratislava archbishop Stanislav Zvolenský said in Ružomberok (Žilina region) on Tuesday. Whether or not the bishops will write up a pastoral letter remains to be seen for now. "We see a role for us in helping overcome some sorts of scepticism, tiredness, sadness, uneasiness and disenchantment that are present, and in telling people that it makes sense so everybody goes and casts their vote", said Zvolenský. A decision on the pastoral letter, which is read out during Sunday services, will be made within two weeks, according to KBS.
