The European Commission (EC) considers the first draft Partnership Agreement for the 2014-2020 period acceptable and has started an intradepartmental review in relation to the proposal. It is a basic framework for drawing EU funds in the coming seven years.
“The European Commission has sent comments on this document, which will be the subject of negotiations between Slovakia and the European Commission on Friday, September 13 in Bratislava. It is a very demanding process in regards to expertise and time,” said the spokeswoman for Deputy Prime Minister for Investments Silvia Belesova. According to the draft Slovakia could obtain from the EU funds €15.8 billion in nine programs in total throughout the 2014-2020 period.
