The Prosecutor-General's Office is looking into the statement by Prime Minister Robert Fico on the need to stop a compact Muslim community from coming into being in Slovakia, N Daily wrote on its website on Tuesday, citing the Office's spokesperson, Andrea Predajňová. The probe comes after the Office received an emailed criminal complaint against the premier on Sunday. The unknown complainant alleges that Fico committed the crime of defaming a race, nation or religious belief and of inciting hatred against a race, nation or ethnicity. The offence incurs imprisonment of up to three years. In the aftermath of New Year's Eve assaults in Cologne, Germany, Fico said that the only way of keeping Slovakia safe and minimizing risks is to prevent the creation of a compact Muslim community.
