Accommodation and catering facilities and ski resorts in the High Tatras mountain range are happy with visitor and guest numbers this past holiday season. The hotels were nearly sold out ahead of and for New Year's Eve, with ski resorts also teeming with people. The water park in Poprad (Prešov region) received guests from many countries including Greece and Uzbekistan. "Ski resorts in the High Tatras were full of people despite the snow conditions not being ideal at first... Gradually, as the old year was coming to a close and the new one was setting in, snow conditions improved," said Tatry Mountain Resorts spokesperson Zuzana Fabiánová.
