The Opposition has failed to take advantage of Robert Fico's single-party Smer-SD Government since 2012 by consolidating itself, stated the chairman of the Most-Hid party Béla Bugár that is currently in opposition in Parliament. According to him, the Opposition hasn't done well in dealing with the migration crisis and it hasn't presented any viable alternative to Smer, either. "We need to show the public that a harmful one-party government is looming large again here and that we need to present an alternative", said Bugár. Moreover politicians shouldn't use the Parliament as their Hyde Park Corner as it's a waste of time and it's inefficient, Bugár added. Echoing this statement is also chairman of the Christian Democrats (KDH) Ján Figeľ who said that the fragmentation of the Opposition is irresponsible if not downright selfish, and all the new small parties have only fuelled people's scepticism towards politics. Figeľ sees personal egotism or business and economic-political interests as the biggest problem of the right wing, or in fact Opposition. Figeľ emphasised the need to cooperate in favour of Slovakia's future.
