The stalemate situation in Slovak hockey seems to have been settled. Slovak Ice Hockey Federation President Igor Nemecek and the Slovak ice hockey players boycotting the national team represented by Michal Handzus signed a public commitment on Monday. With his signature, Igor Nemecek has assured that he will push for an additional congress of the Federation before the end of June so that a new election of officials can take place according to democratic statutes as required by boycotting ice hockey players. If the congress and election do not take place, Nemecek promised that he would step down on June 30.
