Let your child wear a ski helmet

And if you want to go skiing with your child in Slovakia, be aware of the law on ski helmets. It is the first winter season in our country when it is banned for children up to 15 years to enter ski slopes without wearing a helmet. However, there is no fine required when breaking this law. The slope guide might warn parents and even ban them from skiing on the particular slope. The number of injuries in the High Tatras mountain region in north east Slovakia increased last year by 22% on the year on year basis. The number of accidents within the past 5 years has more than doubled.
