Prime Minister Robert Fico and Interior Minister Robert Kalinak opened a Slovak Embassy in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. Apart from diplomatic issues and economic diplomacy, it will perform some consular duties. The Embassy should improve conditions for the support of Slovak export to this region. It should also strengthen the activities aiming at increasing economic and trade cooperation between UAE and Slovakia. Among its goals is extending the offer of Slovak facilities focused on spa tourism. Robert Fico met the Dubai emir sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. They discussed mutual co-operation, strengthening of economic contacts, potential trade projects and possible investments.
