A new military training centre is to be built in Slovakia that will also feature a flight simulator for Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. Defence Ministry has announced Thursday that they are to be supplied gradually to the Slovak military as of 2016. According to Slovak Airforce commander Miroslav Korba, the advantage of having a simulator is that Slovakia will no longer need to send its pilots for training to the United States. Slovakia will be supplied with nine US helicopters worth approximately €261 million. The new machines are slated to replace the current Mi-17, the lifetime of which is coming to a close.
