Break in at Bratislava City Hall

An unidentified person or persons broke into the public procurements department at Bratislava city hall on the night of December 1-2, the authority's spokesperson Ivana Skokanová told TASR press agency on Tuesday. The perpetrator(s) got into the area where documents and papers relating to public procurements carried out between 2011-2014 are kept. "A work phone and a work laptop also disappeared from the department, in which there was complete documentation of public procurements between 2011-2014," said Skokanova, who wasn't able to say whether paper documents were stolen as well. "Employees of the department are currently looking into the matter and checking whether the documentation is complete," said Skokanová. The police have launched an investigation.
