V4 group declares mutual ties with South Korea

A historical first-ever meeting of the Visegrad Four/V4 (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and South Korean top officials concluded in Prague on Thursday. A declaration on the intensive development of mutual ties in the spheres of economy, culture, energy and trade emanated from the meeting. According to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, such contacts will usher in a significant dynamism in trade and investment relations. Fico pointed out that the V4 remains an exceptionally trustworthy brand that plays a role of growing importance in the EU. "We're the driving force of economic growth in the Union and also attractive to foreign investments", said Fico. South Korean President Park Geun-hye underlined the fact that V4 countries have supported the efforts to reunite the Korean peninsula in a peaceful fashion and bring stability to the northeast Asia as a whole.
