The Comenius University's Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin was most demanded by university applicants in the year 2014 read outcomes of the assessment by the Academic Ranking and Rating Agency (ARRA), which evaluated the activities of 112 faculties in Slovakia. The number of applicants fell the most at social studies and law faculties, which reported an over one-fifth decline in students. Faculties of philosophy and economics faced a decline in applications by 15 to 20 percent.
