There are estimates that between 3,500-6,000 young Europeans are fighting in Iraq, Syria and Libya under the flag of Islamic State, said Slovak MEP Branislav Škripek on Wednesday. It's a generation of young people that were born in Europe but their parents aren't originally from Europe. They came to Europe to find a better life. They are growing up in ghettos in countries they know nothing about. They desire to find meaning in their lives. But unfortunately the ideals of ISIS have won them over," said Škripek."I consider these young people fighting for ISIS to be a great security threat. After being militarily trained they'll return to their homes in Europe behaving like sleeper terrorist cells and will wait for orders from their commanders," stated Škripek. "For our Christian civilisation, an answer to their murders shouldn't be further killings and vengeance. As Christians we should serve as a role model by leading full-fledged lives without hatred and terrorist attacks. We should also clearly state that all supporters of IS will bear the consequences of their actions if they don't wake up, said Slovak MEP Branislav Škripek.
