Slovakia is prepared to provide military assistance to France, but certainly not in the form of, for example, combat forces in Syria, Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák said before the Security Council's meeting on Wednesday. PM Robert Fico told journalists after the session that Slovakia won't participate in military missions in Syria unless such a mission receives an international mandate. PM Fico also said that Slovakia is ready to respond to France's official request whereby it seeks help from fellow EU member countries towards its military operations in Syria and elsewhere following the terror attacks in Paris.
