Slovak officials expressed their sadness after the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on Friday evening that resulted in at least 128 people dead. President Andrej Kiska sent his condolences to the French people and added that Europe needs even more unity after this tragic event. The Government asked security and law enforcement agencies to increase their vigilance. So far the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs has no information of Slovak citizens being among the victims of the attacks. As a sign of solidarity with France, the Bratislava castle will be lit in the colours of the French flag tonight.
