Slovak tennis player Daniela Hantuchova managed to reach the women’s singles quarterfinals of the US Open equalizing thus her best performance at this Grand Slam from 2002. Not even the rain could stop the 30 year old Slovak on Monday when she defeated the American wildcard Alison Riske in a more dominant style than the score shows 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. On Wednesday she plays the winner of the match between Viktoria Azarenka and Ana Ivanovic for a place in the semi-final.
