The Slovak ice hockey team succeeded in its final match of the international tournament Deutschland Cup 2015 in the Bavarian Augsburg, when they defeated Switzerland 4:0. Despite this result Slovaks ended up last, in fourth place, preceded by Germany, USA and Switzerland. The new representational coach, Zdeno Cíger commented after the match that the 1st victory for him as a coach tastes great. This was the first tournament of the Slovak ice hockey team, since the boycott of Slovak players who won't join the representation because of their dissatisfaction with the situation in the federation.
