Slovak Education, Science, Research and Sport Minister Juraj Draxler delivered a speech at the General Conference of UNESCO in Paris on Saturday, stressing the universal character of the right to education. In his speech Draxler praised the passing of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the drafting of which Slovakia contributed. He also pointed to the important role that UNESCO played in preparing the Post-2015 Agenda for Education and underlined its universality and focus on developing as well as developed countries. In particular, Draxler stressed the need to allow access to quality and lifelong education also for marginalized groups and citizens of developing countries. "Every citizen of the world must enjoy access to good education," stressed Draxler when voicing support for UNESCO's activities in education.
