On Friday the representatives of the 300 teachers who protested in front of the Government Office in Bratislava the evening before will bring to the Cabinet the long mock noses they wore at the protest. Teachers have been expressing their dissatisfaction with the current state of education in Slovakia. At the protest they hold banners reading: "I am teaching for 3.48 euro per hour net", "Teacher - social case" or "Teacher - a priceless person?". Branislav Kočan of the Slovak Chamber of Teachers said education employees feel that each time a budget is drafted teachers are left waiting and waiting and the long nose is a symbol of this seemingly never ending wait.
