Two red panda cubs that were born in Bratislava's zoo in mid-July were officially christened Lan-li and Taj Min in a ceremony on Saturday noon. The female Lan-li and male Taj Min, born on July 12, were christened by actress Alena Ďuránová and actor Marko Igonda, who will star in a planned TV series, set in a zoo. Lan-li and Taj Min were born to mother Coco, born in Zagreb, and father Pung, acquired from the Belgian Cambron-Casteau zoo in 2011. The names of the latest red panda additions are supposed to recall the Himalayas and China, which are areas in which the rust-coloured creatures are endemic.
