Slovakia asks for Pacific Alliance Observer status

Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák has officially asked that Slovakia be granted the status of observer in the Pacific Alliance. This step was Okayed also by the Slovak government. "We are closely observing the successful journey of this dynamic group which represents more than a third of the Latin America population", said Miroslav Lajčák. As he added, a co-operation in the frame of V4 group is also intended. The Pacific Alliance includes Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru. The observer status has more than 30 states including the USA, China, Turkey and 14 EU member countries. According to the Foreign Ministry, the Pacific Alliance seems to be an interesting chance for the Slovak entrepreneurs and export to enter not the market not only in Latin America but also in Asia.
