Slovakia's Kremnica Mint and its Czech equivalent made a common set of silver and gold coins depicting the two co-creators of Czechoslovakia, Tomas Garrigue Masaryk (1850-1937) and Milan Rastislav Štefánik (1880-1919). Both mints have thus commemorated the Day of the Establishment of an Independent Czechoslovakia (October 28, 1918). Moreover the Czech Republic and Slovakia are commemorating anniversaries of the birth of Masaryk (165th) and Štefánik (135th) this year. The commemorative medals are placed in a wooden case featuring the Czechoslovak coat of arms. The set of two silver coins has a value of €109, while the gold coin set is worth €443.
